Birthday Nail Dilemma!

Wheres all my libras at?! every year I start planning my birthday in July because with my birthday being the first week of October it always comes around the corner quickkkkkk so 3 months usually gives me enough time to figure out what I want to do, make itineraries, and wear if I'm crafting a new outfit. I usually start growing my natural nails out around the same time in July to have months of strong growth to get a french tip gel manicure.

Growing up I always had natural long nails, I use to file them really sharp and pointy like claws! but I remember the first time I got acrylic nails put on I was maybe 13 in my freshman year of high school, the set was terrible thick bubbly and I choose a horrid snot green color like nickelodeon slime -___- since then I always got acrylic nails.

Eventually I gained experience and recognition for quality, style, & preference. My go to shape was still sharp & pointy, I liked the acrylic really thin, and I started to love French Tips.

2018 was peak acrylic nail year for me. When I went to Houston it was nail art heaven for me they had french tips I've been looking for, for years.

I went to Houston twice once for a week when I came with my nails done and another time for a month when I found this nail salon & got a full set & refill. I would love to get set #008 #017 #034 #043 !!

Then I just stopped getting acrylics, and started getting my natural nails done for many reasons

I eventually stopped getting my nails done at salons all together. It became tedious to keep up with and unhealthy, it started to become that every time I would get my nails done they would make me bleed while cutting my cuticles….

I remember one time I was getting a pedicure the manicurist was pulling on my cuticle so hard literally with all her might that she started shaking….. I said that’s okay you can stop! and I started bleeding. I’m like yeaaaa I’m not gonna be able to get my cuticles cut or even my nails done as often because there’s no way someone with the same nervous system as me can literally yank on a extension of me in this case my cuticle and cause me to bleed and not say um I’m going to much I know this must hurt.

I’ve maintained doing my own nails for many years now and I’ve already started growing my natural nails out for 2 months now in preparation for a gel set, but here’s where the dilemma comes in!!

I finally found some LV multicolor blanc murakami monogram french tips!

My natural nails have grown 1 inch long, should I keep them and get a gel set or cut them down and get acrylic french tips for the first time in six years?!?
